Mediodía (Noon) is a project about a source of light, one wall and one colour. From 2011 to 2014, David Hornillos (ES, Madrid, 1974) regularly visited the area surrounding Madrid’s Atocha station during the middle hours of the day. Mediodía focuses on an orange brick wall that seems to disorient and trap all those who pass in front of it. Viewers are similarly confronted with a wall that exudes a suffocating and hypnotic atmosphere.
David Hornillos studied photography at Blank Paper School of Photography, Madrid. He is also a founding member of the collective Fotoaplauso.
