Jesús Monterde — Nemini Parco

Jesús Monterde (ES, Benassal, 1969) began documenting the rural life of his region, El Maestrazgo, in the mountains of Castellón and Teruel, an area marked by an austere climate, a rough and broken topography, economic decay and isolation. Nemini Parco (No one forgives) reflects on the peculiarities of a territory where medieval rites and customs still exist, and redolent of childhood memories for the author. Monterde portrays the daily life, the landscapes and the people with whom he coexists, seeking images that for many go unnoticed.

Jesús Monterde is a self-taught photographer. Between 2010 and 2013, he attended courses and several workshops at Blank Paper School.
